Against the majestic setting of Hampton Court Palace, the Hampton Court ice rink invites visitors to come and skate during the winter months. Ice guides are available for groups and individuals who wish to be escorted onto the ice.
Those aiming to develop their skating skills can also have one-on-one or group lessons, which will have kids skating like a pro in no time! As the sun sets, skaters can glide on glistening ice under the starlight, illuminated by the palace, enhancing the ice rink’s magical feel.
If Hampton Court is a little far for you why not check out the ice rinks at the Natural History Museum or Somerset House? Further afield, most big cities have outside rinks at some point during winter, so keep your eyes peeled.

I try to do this every year and it never disappoints. It’s such a laugh and always get me in that festive spirit. You can get hot chocolate afterwards to warm up and watch all the people falling over. If you can get a big group of friends together then yo can buy 10 tickets and get one free. Really fun activity and it’s so nice to do it outside which you can’t always do year-round.
