In the heart of Soho stands the Soho Theatre and, it’s fair to say that the theatre suits its surroundings very well. This is the theatre to go to for fun, original and exciting performances and productions. It hosts a lot of Edinburgh veterans so you can expect some cutting edge stuff.

Quite a bit of the productions on offer aren’t for kids, but they also cater to families very well. A top pick is Comedy Club 4 Kids, essentially top comedy without the swear words and other rude bits. The kids will find it funny, and, more importantly, so will you.

New parents should check out Soho Screamers. Not a load of horror shows, but a performances where you can bring along your young babies. There are none scheduled right now, but bookmark the page for future reference.
