YO! Sushi promises ‘fast, fun and fresh food’, and in true Japanese style, the restaurants use ‘kaiten’ conveyor belts to pass their food around the table – so if you fancy something, make sure you grab it quickly, as it may not be there next time round. It’s the place where it’s entirely acceptable to make judgements based on first appearances!
The popular restaurant chain, which first opened in Soho in 1997, provides meat, fish and vegetable plates, from hot dishes to cold sushi and even salads and desserts. Like tapas, the plates are small but the choices great. And there’s no need to worry about slow service, as you can serve yourself whenever you like. The relaxed atmosphere is perfect for kids, especially those who find a traditional dining experience dull but don’t take your eye off how many plates your kids take for themselves!
KidRated’s Top Tip: Every Monday, YO! Sushi offers Blue Monday deals to perk up your evening, with plates at only £2.50 each. Participating restaurants apply, see website for these deals and many others.
