Looking for homemade gifts, books or a tasty treat in South East London? Then look no further, Greenwich Market is your answer. Smaller than Borough Market, there is still plenty of amazing food to try. This is the place to get dim sum, paella, raw food, Ethiopian food, curry, you name it, it can probably be found in Greenwich Market.
Aside from food, the market hosts different kinds of wares. Antiques, collectibles, fashion, art, beauty, jewellery and arts and crafts all have a place in the market, just make sure you go on the right day for what you want to buy. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, you can find antiques and collectables whereas if you visit on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and weekends you will find a lot more crafts and design. Check the website for more details.
The food, especially can be pricey but it is generally of good quality. It can be fairly cramped inside so it would be advisable to not bring buggies.
Love markets? Why not see what the K-Raters think of Borough Market.
