DNA VR

Welcome to DNA VR, London’s First Virtual Reality arcade. Get ready to take you and your family on a journey through incredible worlds in this reality and beyond – whether it’s the terror of a zombie apocalypse, the mystery of the ocean deep, or the secrets of outer space. The only limit is your imagination.

Your kids will love the VR Arcade session. Each player gets a headset, after which they can spend an hour in their separate booth. Although players will be physically separated, they will still be able to communicate over a voice chat and they will be able to see each other in the virtual space once they are joined together in games. Players have access to all games in the library which they can pick and choose between freely. There are lots of multiplayer games and many single player games as well – is this a video gamers heaven?!

An expert VR Master personally runs your session, providing a full safety and information briefing beforehand, as well as talking technophobe parents through all the game set up and any issues throughout. While there are no strict age limits at DNA VR, the size of the headset and types of games mean the experience probably suits kids over 7 years old. It may also be quite an intense experience and sometimes slightly overwhelming for younger children, but the ball is in your court!

Our best recommendations are the following:
VR Arcade: 7+
Premium Free Roaming: 12+
VR Escape Rooms: 10+ (7+ if accompanied by an adult)
Ubisoft’s VR Escape rooms: 12+

Pssst… DNA VR are also experts at hosting kids birthday parties. The VR Arcade session is perfect for large groups as the wide range of games means that there is always something for everyone to enjoy.

Parent Point of View

Kris

For escape room, we chose the Chernobyl escape, this was both educational and exciting. We had to work as team to solve the clues and look for items to navigate through Chernobyl site to gain our freedom. We were successful and escaped in 44 minutes.

The second session was the VR arcade, the choices were ok being the same VR games you can find for your home computer system. My boys enjoyed these but not as much as they struggled with some of the games.

Have your say...
