Awesome visit! Don't go to the forbidden forest if you're scared of spiders I was amazed of everything, it's so cool! ❤
From the moment you step into the Great Hall, you feel completely immersed. These aren’t replicas—they’re the real sets, props, and costumes used in the films which is uber exciting as a fan! What I loved most was the freedom to explore at your own pace - great for kids (and grown ups!!!) who want to look at the detail. Highlights: - Walking through Platform 9¾ and standing next to the Hogwarts Express - Sipping Butterbeer (very sweet—but you have to try it at least once!) - Exploring Gringotts Bank, which felt like stepping into a dragon-guarded treasure vault
Recently went here for the second time, kids were 5 years older than the first time we went and it was just as magical and fascinating this time. Yes it is expensive, but a complete treat for any Harry Potter or film fan young or old, 10/10 from this 50 year old, wish all family days put were this good!!!
Amazing day out. I went with my son,12, another Mum and son and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! We literally spent all day there and ate in the restaurant (really good varied menu, reasonable prices). You really feel as if you are on set and there are some great green screen photo opportunities. Not the cheapest day in the round but one of the best and most memorable. Would highly recommend
What a place! I thought I'd heard everything there was to hear about this as so many friends had taken their children - but I was completely unprepared for how brilliant it was. Took our 5 and 7 year old boys and spent an incredible 6 hours there and we all loved every single second. Well worth the money and a very definite 10/10, magical!
Brilliant day out! Loved it.
We took our 8 year old son for his birthday with 3 friends of the same age , they absolutely loved it, as did the elders. Plenty of interactive exhibits to bring the filming alive and great to see so many well known sets up close. This would suit children ( and adults ) of all ages who are old enough to see the films and appreciate the detail and effort in every scene. Easy to find , park and explore , took around 3 hours and great fun . Would definitely consider a return visit in a few years time once the kids are older and can appreciate the more technical aspects. Only down side is the cost and expensive gift shop ( especially the wands ! ) Fabulous day out 10/10 !
Have your say!
Kids, teens & parents welcome. Keep it kind. No surnames or personal contact details.

Quick Inspiration
Book WELL in advance! Tickets regularly sell out, especially on weekends and during school holidays. To guarantee your preferred date and time, plan to book tickets months ahead. All tickets are for specified times and must be pre-booked online.
Plan to spend at least 3 to 4 hours exploring. Most families find there’s so much to see, they end up staying even longer! This gives you time to linger over favourite sets, try interactive exhibits, and enjoy the experience without rushing.
Absolutely! Dress up for the occasion. Bring your Hogwarts robes or favourite house scarf for extra fun and the best photo ops throughout the tour—plenty of fans do. Costume photos make for unforgettable memories.
Yes. The Studio Tour is packed with once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunities, from posing on Platform 9¾ to snapping magical set details. Capture every moment, just look out for the no flash signs.
The magic is for everyone, but kids aged 5+ tend to get the most out of the experience. Buggies and prams are welcome, though some areas can feel crowded.
You’re welcome to bring snacks, and there’s a picnic area outdoors. Onsite cafés—including the Backlot Café where you can try Butterbeer—offer plenty of choices, but queues can be long, so snack planning is wise.
Yes, the Studio Tour is fully accessible for wheelchair users and families with prams. Expect step-free access and accessible facilities throughout.
Most of the tour is family-friendly, but areas like the Forbidden Forest or Death Eater displays can be spooky for sensitive kids. These sections can be skipped if desired.
Yes—there’s a huge Studio Shop and a special Platform 9¾ kiosk, both brilliantly stocked with wands, robes, and treats. Set a budget for kids, as the temptation is real!
Regular shuttle buses run from Watford Junction station (20 minutes from London Euston), or drive and use the ample on-site parking.

This was completely worth the money, all the kids aged 6 to 13 raved about it and would like to go back next time we make a London visit. Highlights included the Gringotts Dragon roaring fire (terrifyingly real), drinking butter beer of all varieties (fun pit stop half way) and professor sprouts greenhouse! For adults the set design, costumes and artistry make it. Warning on the amount of charged for photo ops (about £20 each) and gift shops on the way round — next time I’d give the kids a budget in advance and they can choose carefully!
