Honor

Great spot for an art lover like myself. I went specifically to see the Van Gogh and ended up having a look around at the rest of the pieces. They also had a really nice cafe which I decided to stop and have a coffee at. Bring a friend who also likes art (like I did) and you’ll have a fabulously cultured day. Maybe not the place for someone who doesn’t have much interest in art so keep that in mind.

The Courtald is a gem for parents and good for teens and older kids with a very keen interest in the arts, but I would not recommend for smaller kids. Its smaller size makes it more manageable than the bigger museums and I found it less crowded. In the Summer months, they sometimes have an outdoor cinema and there is ice skating in the Winter months. Note that it is not free entry, unlike the larger museums. Additionally, special exhibitions can also have an additional charge.
