Took my kids to Bat & Ball for my little one’s 6th birthday and they had an amazing time! The games kept them entertained for hours and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. A big shoutout to the staff – they were absolutely fantastic with the kids and made everything super easy. Highly recommend for a fun, family-friendly outing!

						About Bat & Ball
“We loved the food and all the games – especially shuffleboard & darts because I won!” – Yaya (12) & Amire (13)
Bat and Ball is ping pong with attitude – perfect for energetic kids, teens and competitive parents. With music, food, pool, and retro games, it’s a lively indoor spot for rainy-day fun. Family-friendly until 8pm, with branches in Covent Garden and Westfield Stratford. Book ahead or just turn up.
Top tip from the KidRated team:
Look out for their “Kids Play Free” offer on the website where (during the summer holidays and half terms), kids can play for free (30-minute time slot) from 12:00 to 17:00. And their great kids’ packages here.
Quick Inspiration
Yes. During the day it’s a fab spot for families. Kids can play ping pong, try the retro games, or watch sports on the big screens until 8pm when the grown-up vibes ramp up.
It’s great for kids 7+ who can handle a bat, and especially fun for tweens and teens. Little ones might find it tricky, but they’ll still enjoy the buzz and games.
Yes and you should! Especially on weekends or rainy days. Book online to lock in your time and avoid any “but I wanted to play” drama.
Nothing fancy needed just comfy clothes and trainers so they can move, swing, and celebrate their epic ping pong wins in style.
Absolutely. There’s a full menu of crowd-pleasers. Think burgers, pizzas, and snacks kids will love (plus a decent coffee and cocktail list for grown-ups too).
Yes! There’s a pool table and arcade-style fun, perfect for a bit of post-ping pong downtime. Just be prepared to hear “just one more go” about 17 times.
Yes. Westfield has step-free access throughout, and Bat and Ball is on one level. There’s also nearby accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities.
Perfect. Indoors, active, and guaranteed to burn off some energy. It’s a win-win when the weather’s grim and you need something fun and screen-free.
Not at all, but we bet you will. It’s way too tempting not to join in. And if not, just sit back with a drink and cheer on your future table tennis champ.

We visited as a group of four from the youth zone and had an amazing time! The food was a standout. The sharing truffle fries and chicken strips were absolutely delicious, and the portions were huge. It would be great to see halal options added to the menu to make it more inclusive. The interactive darts were a real hit - games like Killer and Around the World brought a fun twist to traditional darts and kept us all entertained. We also tried shuffleboard for the first time, and it was surprisingly easy to learn and perfect for competitive groups like ours. We gave the experience an 8 out of 10 and would definitely return!
