Our son has learned how to skateboard at BaySixty6. The whole team is great but I want to have a special shout out for Guy. He is the best and kindest teacher. Guy is amazing with children making them feel safe and secure while building their confidence. Our son looks up to him and we were very impressed how he set himself a goal and went for it. Guy really cares about our son and his development and improvement. He provided exercises to do outside the skate park to further enhance the learning and development. Guy has excellent communications skills, is very organised and extremely helpful when scheduling and booking classes. Top notch customer service.

Quick Inspiration

Is BaySixty6 a good skatepark for beginners and kids who’ve never skated before?

Yes. BaySixty6 is brilliant for first-timers. They run beginner-only sessions, and friendly coaches are on hand to help kids find their feet.

Is BaySixty6 safe for younger children?

Yes, as long as they stick to the right sessions. Helmets are mandatory for under-16s, and elbow and knee pads are strongly recommended. Safety gear can be rented on-site if needed.

Do we need to book BaySixty6 in advance, or can we just show up?

Advance booking is strongly advised, especially during weekends and school holidays. Walk-ins might be allowed, but you’re risking a disappointed skater and a long wait in the viewing area.

Can kids bring scooters or BMX bikes to BaySixty6?

Yes, scooters and BMX bikes are allowed, but only during specific sessions. Always check the session schedule first to avoid turning up at a skate-only time.

Are there girls-only skate sessions for beginners?

Absolutely. BaySixty6 hosts girls-only skate sessions designed to build confidence and create a fun, inclusive vibe. Perfect for beginners and seasoned skaters alike.

Can we book a birthday party or private group session?

Yes. BaySixty6 offers private hire and group bookings – ideal for birthdays, school trips, or just a cool get-together.

Do parents have to pay if they’re just watching?

Nope. Spectators are free to watch from designated viewing areas. So feel free to cheer, film tricks, or sip a quiet coffee while the kids skate their hearts out.

Can parents skate too, or is it just for kids?

Parents can join in too! Look out for family-friendly sessions where grown-ups are welcome to roll.

What should kids wear to skate at BaySixty6?

Go for comfy and practical: loose joggers or trousers, a t-shirt, and flat-soled trainers. No flip-flops or Crocs. Helmets and pads are a must (and yes, they’re available to rent).

Can we hire skateboards and safety gear at BaySixty6?

Yes, you can rent boards, scooters, helmets, and pads on-site. So if you forget something (or haven’t bought gear yet), no problem.
