Yes. The cable car is fully accessible for buggies, prams, and wheelchairs. Staff are super helpful and will slow the gondola down for easy boarding – no need to fold your pushchair unless it’s a real space hog.
Each pod can fit up to 10 passengers or 6 if you’re bringing bikes. It’s great for families or small groups, and if it’s quiet, you might even get a pod to yourselves.
Yes, and it’s usually the cheapest and easiest option. You can tap in with an Oyster card or contactless payment, just like the Tube. No need to faff around with paper tickets unless you want a souvenir.
Each journey takes around 10 minutes, or slightly longer during off-peak times when they slow the cabins down for better views. It’s just enough time to enjoy the skyline, snap some pics, and feel like a tourist in your own city.
Totally up to you. You can buy single or return tickets, depending on your plans. Some families ride over, grab a snack or explore, and then head back later.
On the Greenwich Peninsula side, there’s the O2 with shops, restaurants, bowling and Up at the O2 – all great activities for teens. On the Royal Docks side, you’ll find watersports, street food, and great walks along the water.
Not quite – the pods aren’t actively heated or cooled, but they’re fully enclosed and don’t get too stuffy or chilly. Dress for the weather and you’ll be fine. The views make up for it.
