Inside, there are 30+ activities every night:

  • Get Active – Climbing, boxing, basketball, cricket, roller skating and a full gym
  • Get Creative – Music studios, art, ceramics, sewing, dance and performance
  • Get Skilled – Cooking, digital media, content creation and career support
  • Get Social – Pool, table tennis, Xbox, PS5 and a café to hang out with friends

Top Tip from the KidRated Team:

Don’t stick to one activity – encourage your kids to try something new, then refuel with a £1 hot meal at BiteCity. Most young people discover a hidden passion here.

What age group is WEST for?

WEST is open to young people aged 8–19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs. Junior sessions are usually separate from older youth sessions to keep things safe and age-appropriate.

How much does it cost?

Membership is just £5 a year, plus 50p per visit. Hot meals are available for £1 at BiteCity Café, so no child needs to go hungry.

Nope. Just turn up, sign in and get started. With 30+ activities each night, kids can mix and match as they like.

Is it safe?

Yes. WEST Youth Zone is staffed by trained youth workers and safeguarding professionals. There’s always supervision, and staff are there to support, listen and encourage every young person.

Is it accessible for SEND and additional needs?

Absolutely. WEST is fully inclusive, with sessions and support available for young people with additional needs up to age 25. Parents can call ahead to arrange quiet times or personalised support.

Is food available?

Yes, the on-site BiteCity Café offers hot meals, snacks and drinks, with mains priced at just £1. Many kids grab dinner here before heading home.

What are the opening times?

WEST is open seven days a week, including evenings. Times may vary by age group, so it’s worth checking the timetable on their website before visiting.
