About Chelsea F.C. Stadium Tour and Museum
Whether your kids are footy-mad or just love a behind-the-scenes peek, the Chelsea FC Stadium Tour and Museum is a winning day out. You’ll explore Stamford Bridge like a VIP, stepping into the dressing rooms, walking through the players’ tunnel, and even sitting in the manager’s seat. Guides keep things fun and fact-packed, with plenty of selfie stops and stories to impress their mates (or embarrass the parents). The museum adds extra wow factor, with trophies, kits, and interactive exhibits that even non-fans will enjoy. The tour is well-paced, totally family-friendly, and a great way to soak up Premier League atmosphere without the matchday crowds.
Top tip from the KidRated team:
Book in advance especially during school holidays and let the kids wear their Chelsea shirts for maximum excitement (and better photos).
Parent P.O.V. by Laura Porter
- Staff are great with kids so don’t worry if not all of the family are football fans.
- Children will love leading the team (your tour group) out of the tunnel towards the pitch.
- Let the kids sit at the desk in the Press Room for photo opportunities.
- Visit the shop before going on the tour so the kids can think about what they want to buy there after the tour.

Is the Chelsea Stadium Tour good for kids?
Definitely. It’s brilliant for young football fans, but even kids who aren’t Chelsea-obsessed will love the behind-the-scenes feel. Dressing rooms, the players’ tunnel, and pitch-side views = instant wow.
What age is the tour suitable for?
Most kids aged 5 and up will enjoy it, especially if they’re into football. The museum has interactive bits to keep them engaged and if they love a selfie, they’ll be in heaven.
Tours last around 60 minutes, with time to explore the museum afterwards. It’s just the right length to keep kids entertained without losing interest (or needing a snack break).
Can you visit Stamford Bridge without going to a match?
Yes. The tour is the perfect non-matchday experience. You get access to loads of places you wouldn’t see on game day without the crowds or overpriced crisps.
Do you have to book in advance?
It’s a smart move, especially in school holidays or weekends. Tours can fill up fast so book online to guarantee your spot and avoid any disappointed faces.
Can you wear your team’s shirt if you’re not a Chelsea fan?
Technically, yes, but expect a few cheeky comments if you rock up in red! It’s all in good fun though, and the staff are great whatever colours you’re wearing.
Is the tour accessible for wheelchairs and buggies?
Yes. The stadium and museum are fully accessible, with step-free routes and helpful staff. If you’ve got specific needs, give them a call before visiting, they’re very accommodating.
Is there a café or somewhere to eat nearby?
The stadium has a café on site, and being in west London, you’re spoilt for choice nearby. Or bring snacks, kids burn through energy when they’re pretending to be Raheem Sterling.
Can we take photos on the tour?
Absolutely. Cameras and phones are welcome, and there are loads of prime selfie spots. Bonus: you can also buy official tour photos at the end if you’re feeling fancy.
Is there a gift shop?
Of course, this is a football club. The Megastore is packed with kits, souvenirs, and gifts, so be prepared for some “Can I have this?” moments. Budget accordingly.
