About Choir of Man

Part pub, part gig, and all West End show, The Choir of Man features nine guys, a live band, and an interactive set that resembles your local boozer. All these elements combine to create an uplifting night of music, laughter, and age-appropriate pints. Expect foot-stomping hits, some heartwarming moments, and feelgood evening.

Top Tip from the KidRated Team:

Arrive early! As Olivia our 17year old K-Rater discovered, the cast often chats with the audience before the show starts. It’s a fun, relaxed way to break the ice and sets the tone for the night!

Is it suitable for younger kids?

Not really. The vibe is more pub concert than family matinee. Some lyrics and banter may go over little ones’ heads. Tweens and teens who love live music will enjoy the energy..

Is it SEN friendly?

Yes. The Arts Theatre offers step-free access, accessible toilets, and support for patrons with additional needs. The show is loud and lively, so ear defenders might help noise-sensitive kids. Contact the theatre for relaxed performance dates.

Can we take Nan and Grandad?

Definitely! The music ranges from rock anthems to ballads, with a nice dollop of nostalgia. Grandparents who enjoy live gigs (and pubs) will love it – though it can be laod and rowdy at times.

How long is the show and is there an interval?

Around 90 minutes, with no interval. Perfect for kids with shorter attention spans!

So can our 18 year olds really get a beer?

Yes – a limited number of audience members get served a beer at the start. It’s more a bit of theatre though, so don’t get your hopes up that you’ll be on freebies all night.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

The Arts Theatre foyer and auditorium are accessible and there are designated wheelchair spaces in the stalls. Book early though, as spaces are limited.

What’s the music like?

As Olivia says in her review this is a “jukebox musical” and features everything from Adele through to Queen and Katy Perry, all performed live by the cast and band. Don’t worry if you don’t know the songs, the atmosphere will carry you along.

How do we get there and what’s close by?

The theatre is just off Leicester Square. Leicester Square and Charing Cross stations are both a 5-minute walk. Loads of restaurants and cafés nearby for a pre-show bite.

Can we take photos?

Not during the show, but you can ‘before’ and ‘after’ – the stage set makes a brilliant backdrop for selfies.
