Top tip from the KidRated team:
Book ahead, especially for weekends and holidays. Check the specific age limits for each experience—some are perfect for younger kids, others better for teens. And don’t be surprised if the grown-ups get hooked too!
Is DNA VR suitable for kids?
Yes, for kids aged 7 and up. There’s a great mix of child-friendly and age-appropriate games. Some sessions are better suited to older kids or teens, so check in advance.
What age is it best for?
Ages 10 and up will get the most out of it, especially if they’ve got a bit of gaming experience. Younger kids can play too, but not all games are suitable.
Can we play together as a family?
Yes. Many of the games are multiplayer, so you can team up or compete. Just be ready for your kids to be better than you.
Do we need to book in advance?
Yes. Sessions are limited and often sell out on weekends and holidays, so it’s best to book ahead online.
How long does a session last?
Most sessions run for around 45 to 60 minutes. That’s plenty of time to get fully immersed and try out a few different games.
Is it scary or intense?
Some games are fast-paced or spooky, but there are plenty of calm, creative and funny options too. You can choose what works best for your child.
Is it suitable for kids with glasses?
Yes. The headsets are adjustable, and most glasses fit fine underneath. The staff are helpful and will make sure it’s comfortable.
Are there age restrictions for certain games?
Yes. Some VR games are 12+ or 16+ due to content. Staff will guide you toward the right ones for your child’s age and comfort level.
Is there somewhere for parents to sit and watch?
Yes. Most venues have waiting areas, and some have screens where you can watch the action. You can also join in and play – we highly recommend it.
