About the London Bridge Experience
Got a fearless teen or a horror-loving tween? The London Bridge Experience delivers a spine-tingling day out that mixes gruesome history, live actors, special effects, and genuine jump scares. Set beneath the iconic bridge itself, this immersive show takes families on a time-travelling journey through 2,000 years of London’s dark past — think Great Fire, plague pits, and some bloke called Jack the Ripper…
For braver visitors, the London Tombs section is properly scary — so best for teens rather than toddlers. But don’t worry: they also offer a Guardian Angel tour, which tones down the terror for younger kids or anyone who’d rather not scream their face off.
It’s mostly indoors, so great on rainy days. Just be sure your kids are cool with loud noises and spooky surprises — and maybe avoid feeding them sugar beforehand!
Top tip from the KidRated Team:
Look out for seasonal events like Phobophobia at Halloween – terrifyingly good fun.
Pretty scary! Live actors, jump scares, creepy sound effects… it’s designed to thrill. The first part is theatrical and historical, while the second part (the London Tombs) is like walking through a horror movie. Perfect for teens, but younger kids might find it a bit intense.
It’s just a 2-minute walk. Handy if you fancy calming your nerves with a coffee and a doughnut afterwards.
Yes. The attraction is wheelchair accessible, and staff are happy to assist. However, some parts are dimly lit and involve uneven floors, so call ahead to make arrangements.
Not on-site, but you’re spoilt for choice nearby. Borough Market, Flat Iron Square, and London Bridge station are packed with family-friendly food options.
Roughly 45–60 minutes from start to finish, depending on how fast your group moves, and how much screaming is involved.
You can leave at any time. Staff are trained to help and there are emergency exits throughout. If you book the Guardian Angel tour, the actors will dial down the scares from the start.
Teens aged 16+ can go unaccompanied. Kids aged 11–15 need to be with someone 16 or over. We recommend chatting to your teen first – if they love Halloween and horror flicks, they’ll probably love this.
