With over 60 games to choose from plus VR Escape Rooms there’s something for everyone, from battling zombies, to cooking up chaos in a virtual kitchen.

This is proper immersive fun – think teamwork, giggles, and plenty of “Wow, that was amazing!” moments. With games and experiences designed for everyone aged 7 and up, it’s ideal for birthdays, rainy days, and bonding time with your hard-to-please teen.

Top tip from the KidRated Team:

Not a gamer? No problem. VRXtra offers a variety of experiences beyond traditional gaming, from virtual travel to art exploration. It’s a fantastic way for families to laugh, and create unforgettable memories together.

Do all the experiences use a VR headset?

Yes, every game or adventure at VRXtra is headset-based. Once you’re geared up, you’re fully immersed in virtual mayhem, whether you’re battling aliens or slicing virtual sushi

Can I wear glasses with the headset?

Definitely. Most glasses fit comfortably under the headsets, so you won’t miss a single pixel.

What age group is VRXtra best for

It’s designed for ages 7 and up. The team will help you pick games that match your child’s age and confidence, so it’s fun and appropriate.

Never done VR before – will we get help?

Yes! You’ll get a demo before jumping in, and the lovely staff are always around to help you with controls or headset faffery.

Do we need to book in advance?

Walk-ins are fine if it’s quiet, but it gets busy at weekends and during holidays, so booking online is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.

What should we wear?

Comfortable clothes and flat shoes are best. Avoid big hats or dangly earrings – the headsets don’t like fashion statements.

Will we be bumping into strangers?

Nope! Everyone has their own designated space. Even in multiplayer games, your movements are tracked individually so it’s all safe and flail-free.

Can I leave the kids and nip off for a coffee?

Not if they’re under 16 – an adult needs to stay on-site. That said, there’s a comfy viewing area, so you can chill and watch the action unfold on screens.

Do they do birthday parties?

Yes, and they’re epic. Packages include game time, food options from Curzon Pizzeria (hello, pizza + popcorn combo), and a party host. Just bring a cake and your best birthday playlist.
