About Zippos Circus

Step right up to one of the UK’s best-loved live family shows – Zippos Circus. Touring across the country, this high-energy spectacle is packed with jaw-dropping stunts, hilarious clowns, daredevil acrobatics and thrilling aerial acts. You’ll see amazing performers from all over the world doing what they do best – entertaining audiences of all ages with pure circus magic. From fearless aerialists and cheeky foot-jugglers to the iconic Globe of Death motorcycle finale, there’s something here to wow toddlers, teens, and grannies alike. Expect lots of laughs, big gasps, and good old-fashioned family fun – with no animals, no gimmicks, just top-tier talent and a brilliant atmosphere under the Big Top. Tickets are good value, there’s a snack stand for treats, and plenty of selfie spots to mark the day. Zippos is a proper memory-maker, and it never goes out of style

What age group is Zippos Circus best for?

Honestly, everyone. Kids under two go free if they sit on a lap. Primary schoolers will love the clowning and acrobatics, tweens and teens will be hooked by the stunts, and grown-ups will get a nostalgic thrill.

What should we absolutely not miss?

The finale. Trust us – it’s one of those hold-your-breath, grab-your-kid’s-hand kind of moments. The Globe of Death (yes, really) features motorbikes flying around inside a giant metal ball. It’s loud, wild, and unforgettable.

Any acts we should keep an eye out for?

Definitely look out for the incredible aerial performers swinging high above your head – they make it look easy (it’s not). Plus, Mr Lorenz the clown is a total scene-stealer – clever, silly, and actually funny. No creepy face paint here

Where’s the best place to sit?

Go for midway down the side aisles, not too close to the ring but not in the far back – you’ll get the full drama without neck-craning. Ringside is thrilling but can be overwhelming (and louder) for little ones, while the back row means tiny dots in the distance. Mid-tier = perfect view, better sound, and still a sense of being up close to the action.

Can I let older kids wander round alone?

Children under 15 need to be with an adult. Teens over 15 can go solo, but honestly, this is a great shared experience. It’s one of those rare events the whole family genuinely enjoys together.

Is Zippos Circus expensive?

Not at all. Tickets are very fair, with options for families and often discount codes floating around on their socials. There’s even a family ticket that waives individual booking fees.

Is it good for a rainy day?

Definitely. The Big Top keeps everyone dry, and because it’s all seated and under cover, you can enjoy the full show whatever the weather.

Got any tips for grandparents?

Plenty! The show’s comedy and musical throwbacks (think Spanish Flea and Chariots of Fire) are lovely nods to a bygone era. It’s also loud, lively, and delightfully wholesome – so bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to sound, and sit a few rows back for the best view and comfort.

Is it buggy/wheelchair friendly?

Wheelchairs – yes. Pushchairs – not inside the tent. There’s a supervised buggy park near the café. For babies under two, they don’t need a ticket if they’re on your lap, and baby carriers are handy for the show.

Are there places to eat nearby (or inside)?

Yes – the foyer tent has all the circus snack classics: popcorn, hot dogs, candyfloss and drinks. No hot food or open drinks from outside are allowed in the Big Top, though.

Are there loos – and are they decent?

Yes. Expect clean, portable event-style toilets. There’s usually at least one accessible loo too.
