After K-Ratings of 10 across the board last year, Bugsy is back at the Lyric Hammersmith. A night out at Sam’s Grand Slam is a hoot for kids and parents alike.
The Orbit has always looked like a helter skelter, in fact it’s almost baffling that it took so long for them to finally build one. This is a must for kids, grown ups and everyone in between. Plus, as the slide is designed by Carsten Holler, it’s also totally cultural too.
June is always a good time to visit Kew Gardens: the sun is (often) shining, it’s at its very greenest and the flowers are out in force, but, this year, it’ll be even more exciting because the brand new installation, the Hive.
If you have walked along the South Bank recently, you may have notice building works going on at the Tate Modern. The huge 11 floor extension is opening this month, allowing for 60% more gallery space for you to peruse. It cost hundreds of millions to build, and promises a greater variety of modern art from across the world.

London International Festival of Theatre takes place throughout the whole of June. The event culminates on the 1st July with the Children’s Choice Award. It’s perfect if you want to see some really interesting theatre from across the world. Not all of it’s child friendly, but it’s all interesting.
