‘Museums at Night’ is back this Halloween weekend, with a spectacularly spooky selection of after-hours activities. From scary sleepovers with torch-lit tours, to haunting Halloween story telling and frightening face painting, there’s plenty to choose from. We’ve selected a few of our favourites below. Don’t miss out… it’s going to be fang-tastic.
All ages welcome at Blists Hill Victorian Town, Telford. Come in your most frightening costume and see what interesting characters you meet. There’ll be pyrotechnic displays around the town creating scary scenes as well as wicked wizards, zombies, ghostbusters and fireworks!
The Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth, Yorkshire is hosting a creaky candle-lit tour of the eery, historic house. Come and listen to the ghost stories and superstitions of the house’s residents. All ages welcome.
Get into your creepiest costumes and head to Tudor House and Gardens in Southampton for an array of activities. Meet friendly spirits, get creative with crafts and have your face painted. Join in on the ghost tours as well. All ages.
The Novium, in Chichester West Sussex, is hosting a special family sleepover filled with fun games, spooky torch-lit tours and activities for all the family to enjoy. All ages welcome.
This haunting halloween spectacular is set in the spooky woods and historic buildings of the Chiltern Open Air Museum. Take a tour around the mysterious walk, discover monsters and witches, listen to terrifying tales, trick or treat, make creepy crafts and take part in the “Frightening Fancy Dress” competition.
