This weekend marks the Queen’s official birthday – this is after her real birthday in April and her May birthday celebrations in Windsor. Either way, there’s loads of fun to be had over the course of the weekend.
Celebrate the Queen’s birthday for free by watching the Trooping of the Colour. You can do so on TV or head down to St James’s Park and watch it there.
If horses aren’t your thing, then head to the Thames to watch the Queen’s official rowbarge sail down the Thames in a spectacular flotilla.
If your kids prefer lego to central London crowds, then why not head to Miniland at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort where a Lego Queen is celebrating outside the Lego Buckingham Palace! All the usual royals are in attendance.
Bugsy and the gang are back at the Lyric. Last year it was highly K-Rated and the adults liked it too.
This Michael Morpurgo novel adaptation ends on Sunday. Can’t go this weekend? There are productions of Henry V and Pride and Prejudice at the theatre this summer too.
Pond Square is one of the prettiest spots in London and this weekend it also hosts a fun fair. There’s music, kids entertainment, stalls of all sorts and even a sheep shearing show.
A windmill in the middle of London is fairly odd, so why not learn more about it with a tour.
