Zippos Circus, now with added cattitude, or cats, is coming to London. This week it’s in Finsbury Park. If that’s a little too far north for you, don’t worry the following week it’s on Streatham Common.
Based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, Running Wild tells the story of a boy called Will and an elephant called Oona who are in Indonesia when the Tsunami hits. Bring tissues!
Head over to West London for the first children’s literary festival. Big names like Jacqueline Wilson, Michael Morpurgo and Axel Sheffler will be there, plus there will be loads of fun workshops. Tickets are flying off the shelves so buy tickets as soon as you can.
Broadgate is being turned into a whimsical wonderful for kids inspired by Roald Dahl. There will be storytelling and arts and crafts plus, the surrounding restaurants will have exclusive kids menus with some great deals.
With characters like rapper, Rap On Zel and DJ Spinderella, Into the Hoods is a whole lot of fun. Perfect for kids who pretend they are too old and cool for fairy tales.
With the Showstoppers’ Fantastical Story Factory on Saturday and Jay Foreman’s Disgusting Songs for Revolting Children on Sunday, there is no excuse not to head down to the Southbank. Plus outside the big purple upside down cow there’s such a great area to just enjoy the sun, some great food and a drink.
