Regardless of Thursday’s outcome, another weekend will arrive and now that it’s officially summer, there is plenty of fun things to do.
Of course Glastonbury is not in London and the days of just jumping over the fence into the festival are long gone, but it’s still something to put in the diary. Even if you can’t get to Somerset, there’s loads of coverage on TV, so it’s easy to have a mini festival in the comfort of your own home. Much easy and means no chance of portaloo/kids mishaps.
As always something big is happening in Trafalgar Square this weekend. In light of recent events, Pride this year is particularly important. The main event happens in Trafalgar Square but, if you think that might be a bit much for your family, head to Golden Square in Soho where you will find the family area.
After months of waiting the slide has arrived!
Think a traditional summer fete would be impossible in Zone 2 London? The Union Chapel will make you think again. Taking place in the beautiful chapel and Compton Terrace Gardens directly outside, there will be all kinds of classic fete activities including a cake sale, live music and arts and crafts.
In celebration of Shakespeare 400, Shakespeare’s best king will be at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, with a twist. Henry V will be played by award winning actress, Michelle Terry. Great for older kids.
