This weekend the weather will actually be warm! Obviously you’ll want to enjoy the sunshine, so we’ve found some great activities this weekend so you can do just that.
Imperial College London are opening their doors this weekend to show that science can be cool. There are loads of awesome family friendly events going on throughout the weekend from learning about robots to creating your own superbug!
Celebrating the anniversary of when Samuel Pepys first recorded seeing a Punch and Judy show way back in 1662, expect puppet workshops, food stalls and even a may pole, vintage fun for all the family.
Every weekend between 12:30 and 4:30pm, kids can join in the Geffrye Explorers activities for free. But the real great thing about the Geffrye is the garden. Brimming with flowers, it is absolutely the last thing you would expect just off the Kingsland Road. Perfect for a sunny Saturday or Sunday.
Head to the Grant Museum for a hands on family day. Brilliant for budding zoologists. It can be a bit gross and gory but kids will love it. Combine with a walk in Regents Park and a visit to the Zoo.
In the lead up to the British Museum’s headline exhibition, Sunken Cities (which you can book now) this weekend, they are hosting a family fun day full of hands on activities, story telling and handling objects from the museum.
With characters like rapper, Rap On Zel and DJ Spinderella, Into the Hoods is a whole lot of fun. Perfect for kids who pretend they are too old and cool for fairy tales.
With the Showstoppers’ Fantastical Story Factory on Saturday and Jay Foreman’s Disgusting Songs for Revolting Children on Sunday, there is no excuse not to head down to the Southbank. Plus outside the big purple upside down cow there’s such a great area to just enjoy the sun, some great food and a drink.
