Went along last night with two older teenagers and got tickets that put us in the jury. We all totally loved being part of the performance - it felt a completely unique and exciting experience.

About Witness for the Prosecution
Fancy giving your kids and teens a unique West End experience? Then Witness for the Prosecution is a must-see because the Agatha Christie courtroom thriller takes place inside London’s historic County Hall – with the audience right in the middle of a gripping trial.
The immersive layout, along with the speeches and shock twists, means it all feels incredibly real. So if your family love crime shows, puzzles, or true-crime documentaries, they’ll be totally absorbed. Plus it’s a brilliant introduction to live drama for older kids who want something more gripping than a musical.
Top tip from the KidRated team:
Book seats in the Jury for the full experience – older kids love feeling part of the trial.
Yes, but best for older kids and teens. The plot is twisty, intense, and very adult in tone, so we’d recommend it for ages 10+, ideally 12+..
Not scary, but definitely tense. It’s a courtroom thriller with dramatic moments, surprise revelations and a moody atmosphere. Nothing graphic, just gripping.
If they’re confident teens, sure – the layout means they’re completely safe.
Not really – it’s a fast, fun farce with a clear storyline.
2 hours 15 minutes, with one interval. So you’ll have plenty of time to debate the verdict on the way home.
It’s on Southbank just down from the London Eye and there are loads of family-friendly options: PizzaExpress, Wahaca, Giraffe, plus plenty of grab-and-go spots.
Yes, the stalls back row is step-free and great for families who need easy access. The galleries offer amazing views but involve stairs.
The old courtroom at County Hall is stunning and the entrance hall and the judge’s backdrop are fan favourites for a selfie. Also it’s perfect when the weather’s miserable. And finally – no spoilers but the ending is great and always gets the crowd. Finally, remember: the performers can see you… you’re part of the court.
