Museum Of Childhood: Mum Report

The Museum of Childhood branch of the V&A is specially designed for children to learn about objects made for and by children. There is a range of exhibitions exploring subjects such as photography, fashion, play, and social issues. From toys of yesteryear to the Moving Toys Gallery, it’s a great day out.

KidRated’s 5 Tips For Grown Ups:

1. If you’re feeling peckish after your trip, head over to the Museum’s benugo café where cake and a hot drink are offered for only £3.50 after 3.30pm every Monday to Friday.

2. The Creativity Gallery is a great place to explore the processes of imagination, inspiration, exploration, and making things happen.

3. Pop into the costumes section where one of the highlights is the costume of Dorothy in The Wizard Of Oz.

4. Make sure to buy a guide to help you navigate your trip.

5. The Museum of Childhood is free but there are people taking donations which is recommended at £3.
