Well wonder no more because the fast food company has released a video that takes viewers on a reverse journey from the fry to the humble potato.
Not surprisingly the video has gone viral. And it’s easy to see why.
Everyone’s waiting for a smoking gun – something that wants to make you shout “I knew it”. However, instead we get an engaging film packed with cool machinery including an ‘air knife’.
Sure we learn the fries contain 18 ingredients including dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate and dimethylpolysiloxane – but luckily these turn out to be slightly scary names for harmless additives that keep the fries looking uniform and golden.
In fact the scariest thing about the film are the terrible pair of McDonald’s regulation trousers they make the nice woman in the factory wear. Oh, and a fair bit of hydrogenated oil – but come on you weren’t expecting healthy chips were you?
