We’ve never written a news story about ourselves before but when it’s something this exciting we felt we’re allowed to break the rules.
Talent International has unveiled the Talent Unleashed Awards 2014 UK finalists, comprising ‘15 ones to watch’ for 2015 and KidRated CEO Simon London has been nominated.
“It’s a real surprise and a massive privilege for Natalie Burge (KidRated Cheif Operating Officer) and me as we only launched in June”, he said.
“It’s a cliche, I know, but KidRated is a team effort and we’re lucky to have such a brilliant team. Plus, we all have very supportive families and friends (with kids) so this nomination is for everyone.
However, should we win, I’m keeping the award at my house except when I’m out and then it will accompany me everywhere – meetings, parties, the bus. You know, the usual. Natalie can have it at weekends.”
The awards, run in association with WIRED, celebrates individuals who have used technology in a creative or entrepreneurial way to transform business or the social landscape.
The overall winner will be announced at the Haymarket Hotel in London on the 23rd October, and will be whisked off for a once in a lifetime trip to Richard Branson’s Centre for Entrepreneurship in South Africa this November.
The shortlist includes a mix of entrepreneurs and technologists that solve problems for businesses and consumers, such as innovative ways of raising money for charities, helping businesses uncover untapped revenue streams, and making sense of big data in new ways, to name but a few.
