Everyone knows that he manages to travel across the world in a reindeer sleigh, but this year Santa has been spotted running all around the world.
On Sunday 6th December, 43 registered Santa Dashes took place in the UK alone. Elsewhere in the world, Santas have been seen running everywhere from Romania to Athens, Sydney to Tokyo.
The place to find the most extravagant Santas is the USA. Santas snowboarded down mountains in Maine and sported speedos in Boston. We hope they weren’t too cold.
Talking of blue Santas, in Liverpool roughly half the Santas ran dressed in the untraditional colour, because, of course, it would be sacrilege for an Everton fan to ever be seen in red.
So maybe all these Santas running through our parks and streets are not the real Father Christmas. But for all we know, he could be hiding amongst the charity runners. Let’s hope so, with all the mince pies he’s going to have to eat come Christmas day. The runs are all for a variety of good causes and charities.
