Cirque du Soleil has now finished its run in Manchester, but don’t worry you can catch it in London from 12th January 2017.
The show, Amaluna, will tell the story of a mysterious island ruled by goddesses. After directing her daughter’s coming of age ceremony, honouring femininity, renewal, rebirth and balance, Queen Prospera causes a storm. A group of young men wash up on the isle, triggering an epic love story between Prospera’s daughter and a brave young suitor. Theirs is a love that will be tested.
So far, so sort of Shakespeare… however, Cirque du Soleil is show like no other. Expect terrifying stunts, gorgeous costumes and unbelievable acrobatics. One performance even takes place in a huge bowl of water!
